GREETINGS FROM LOS ANGELES
I'm frequently asked to draw people in my illustration work, but I wanted to push myself and draw some of my favorite architecture in Los Angeles. I grew up in LA and have always enjoyed the various buildings here. We have the classics like City Hall, the odd ones like Idle Hour, and the famous ones like Capitol Records. As an additional challenge, I decided to limit my color palettes more than usual. I considered these as a reimagining of what you might find at a souvenir shop on Hollywood Blvd, but way cooler.
Over the years, I've gradually added to this passion project with so many iconic spots still on the list. Below are the locations I've illustrated so far.
You can purchase my postcard sets on the Clover Scout website or in person by visiting Treehaus in Atwater Village and The Museum of Neon Art in Glendale, CA. I also have prints available on INPRNT and at Treehaus.
If you have a spot you'd like to recommend or a similar project in mind, feel free to contact me.
